Why a reputable ICT company should install your CCTV system

 
In the past the hardest portion of installing Analogue CCTV cameras was the running of the cables and powering up the cameras. As such preference was given to electrical companies.

These days with the introduction of IP cameras and the fact that cameras don’t need power anymore but rely on a DC power only (They can even run of solar panels) and use IT networking for power and communication the general rule is that you’re better of using an IT company for the design and configuration of the system. Sadly enough electrical companies do not have a TCP / IP engineer on staff to configure the system.
 
Other considerations are the use of smarts in the cameras (face recognition, compression, auto follow functions, auto record external access using phones ect.), and the need for smart Ethernet networks / routing for security reasons. If the CCTV system is sharing your office network or your CCTV is accessing the internet (To allow you access from outside the office from your home or phone) you will need a security conscious IT engineer to minimize exposure.
 
As such it is imperative you use an IT person to configure your system in the near future.
