Windows 10 release date is July 29 2015.
Windows 10 update is free.
It’s time to start thinking about the free upgrade process. Olaf De Ceuster explains.
A simple notification
If on May 14, you installed Microsoft update KB 3035583 you will see a Windows icon appear in the notification area. No Popups or advertising. The Windows icon will just be there. When you hover your mouse pointer over the icon, the pop-up simply displays Get Windows 10.
When you right-click the context menu you will see:
Clicking on “Get to know Windows 10” will guide you to a Q&A on the Internet.
Click the following link :
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-faq?ocid=win10_auxapp_LearnMore_win10
To get direct access.
Clicking on the Windows Icon:
Clicking on “Reserve” will give you 5 pages of advertising before you can click the “Get Windows 10”
Your hardware and programs will be scanned for compatibility and if you have no issues you will see:
You have now reserved your copy of Windows 10and don’t need to do anything else till you are notified after the official release date.
Enter your email address if you’d like that and other notifications about the product.
Removing the Windows Flag:
Select the Show hidden icons arrow in the notification area and click the Customize button. When you see the Notification Area Icons dialog, select Hide icons and notifications
